Our Blackboard Server environment is scheduled to be down for system maintenance on Friday, June 20th, 2008 between 10:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.  During this outage period, simulated tests will be run to test our Blackboard Server capacity to ensure system scalability.  Based on the test results, we may have to bring down the system and repeat the test on Wednesday, June 25th between 11:50 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Dear Colleagues,

On November 30^th 2007 Microsoft released Office 2007 to the general public. MS Office 2007 is the latest version of the Office suite products (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Outlook etc.).  There are significant changes in the look and feel of the newest version.  ACCD Information Technologies and Client Services have begun working on a planning process that includes a deployment schedule, configuration and compatibility testing, documentation, web resources, support processes and end user training resources.  Software licenses will be available through the MS Campus Agreement Program.  Select the following link for more information on software licensing:   http://www.accd.edu/it/support/licensing/licensing_procedures.html. 

To ensure smooth transition, ACCD IT department has partnered with St. Philip’s College, Continuing Education department to host a series of MS Office 2007 training for District Office employees.  The training is scheduled to begin May 12, 2008.  Please access the MS Office 2007 project website (http://projects.accd.edu:3455/2/90 ) for more information on training and registration.

Per Telecommunications Manager, St Phillips College is experiencing a temporary power outage caused by a power switch that went out due to blown out transformer. The Transformer is scheduled to be replaced by CPS today; however the power switch is in order and power is expected to be restored on Saturday 05/27/2008. Currently there no scheduled time of the power switch replacement. For further updates, please contact Support Central at (210) 220-1616 and select option 4. Thank you for your patience.
