Last Word. . . I Think

By ehudspeth April 12th, 2008

Everyone,

I wanted to be the last entry on the Big Read blog. I have enjoyed talking to you on this page and I hope you have gotten something from our efforts with this National Endowment for the Arts grant.

Several individuals have posted their comments, their musings, and wonderings. These ideas spring from the amazing work by Nelle Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird. This is truly a timelessly favorite which I hope people will be talking about 100 years from now.

From here at the Big Read blog desk, I say good-by to all.

It was a fantastic group of people who were present, mostly retired military folks. One comment from the audience at the end of the program was about reading in […]

    Everyone,
Today in class, we discussed the narrative perspective in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Several of the students stated they thought Scout was a boy instead of a girl.
Did any of you think this? If so what made you think this? I am very interested, so please post a response to this question.
